Possess a Ph.D. degree in Chemistry or its equivalent with a specialty in Material Chemistry, and post-doctoral experience. In addition, must submit a plan for research and external funding and an essay of teaching philosophy. Must also have a commitment to serve the mission and goals of the university and have excellent communication skills in Spanish and/or English. Candidates from traditional areas of Chemistry may be considered. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

The selected candidate will be required to teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in the field of Chemistry. In addition, they must write proposals to obtain external funds and develop a successful research program in the area of Material Chemistry. The selected candidate will have a regular academic load equivalent to 12 credits per semester. This load will involve teaching, research, and institutional services. Must also participate in professional development activities that help improve teaching and curriculum offerings. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
