A PhD in economics or related area. The candidate must support one of the areas of interest of the Department, i.e. tourism economics, economics of transportation, urban economics, economic planning, health economics, economic education, quantitative methods, economics of energy, economics of telecommunications and emerging areas. Must be committed to serving the mission and objectives of the university and it is highly desirable that the candidate can express himself fluently in Spanish, both orally and in written form. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||

The candidate is expected to be able to teach and develop basic level and advanced economics courses; develop new courses; assist in the elaboration of new graduate level curriculum (master’s and doctoral), carry out a research program in the area of expertise; attending faculty meetings; participate in continuous evaluation and improvement activities and contribute to other departmental activities through service to the institution and the community. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||
